Eight airbags
Discovery 3 features up to eight airbags, with the front row having side thorax and front airbags. Each seat row also has its own curtain airbags. Discovery 3 also demonstrates real strength in impact tests, thanks to our hydroformed frame design and its advanced engineering.

Integrated Body-frame™
On Discovery 3, we´ve integrated its body and chassis to form a construction that is much stronger and stiffer than a conventional chassis. This in turn enables safer, more precise handling as well as ensuring Discovery 3 can pass the most stringent crash safety tests. |

Command driving position
Discovery 3 brings all the benefits of the characteristic Land Rover Command driving position. The higher seating position gives you the advantage of spotting hazards – such as motorway queues – well ahead of time. You´ll also be able to park with confidence thanks to your improved view of all four corners of the vehicle. |

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Active Roll Mitigation (ARM)
These two technologies help ensure Discovery 3 remains safe during cornering. Active Roll Mitigation (ARM) is able to predict when the vehicle may become light on one side in a fast corner and utilises the braking system to stabilise the vehicle. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) provides further safe cornering stability.
It constantly monitors key indicators, correcting any tendency to over- or under-steer. |

Adaptive headlights
Available as an option, these headlights adapt their beams according to the vehicle´s attitude, direction and speed.
The powerful Bi-xenon lamps can move left, right, up or down in reaction to the vehicle´s speed, pitch and steering angle. This ability can be used to counteract the effects of hard braking, for instance, or when turning into bends so that the road surface and any hazards are properly illuminated. |
Alarm and immobiliser
Discovery 3 is fitted with a comprehensive array of anti-theft measures and incorporates an engine management system immobiliser. Ultrasonic volumetric detection protects the interior against smash-and-grab style break-ins, while a perimetric detection system triggers the alarm if an attempt is made to open the boot, bonnet or any of the doors. Additionally, deadlocks inhibit the operation of interior door handles once the vehicle has been locked. |
